Lord venkateswara is the supreme God for kaliyug . He is very famous, popular among devotees for helping all those who pray Him for help. He provides good business, good health, education and every thing what you want. Tirupathi became the biggest piligrim place and lakhs of devotees flock there urging lord venkateswara to help to come out of the problems. thats why He is also called sankata harana venakata ramana.

History of tirupati Balaji Temple

There is plenty literary & epigraphic testimony to the antiquity of the temple of God Tirupati Balaji. All the great rulers, nobles and chieftains of the Andhra Pradesh as well as India have paid worship to Lord Balaji in this antique temple.

In 9th century, The Pallavas who was the rulers of Kancheepuram, after that The Cholas who was the rulers of Thanjavur, The Pandyas who was the rulers of Madurai, & all the rulers and Chieftains of Vijayanagar were great devotees of the GOD Venkateshwara & they competed with one-another in endowing the temple with rich offerings and contributions. Due to the rule of Vijayanagar dynasty, the contributions to the temple increased gradually. Shree Krishnadevaraya had statues of himself and his consorts installed at the portals of the temple & these statues can be seen today also. There is also one statue of Venkatapati Raya in the main temple.

After the decline of Vijayanagar dynasty the rule of contribution was not over. Many Nobles and Chieftains from all parts of the country continued to pay their worship and offer gifts to the Tirumala temple. Raghoji Bhonsle, the Maratha general, visited the Tirupati Balaji Temple and set up a permanent endowment for the conduct of worship in the temple. He also offered valuable jewels & large emerald to the God Tirupati Balaji. The large emerald which is still preserved in a box named after the General.

After the collapse of the Hindu kingdoms, the Muslim rulers of Karnataka and then the Britishers took over the responsibility of Balaji temple, & many of the temples came under their administrative and defensive control. In India, when the mastery started rising in 1843 AD, the managerial activities of the Tirupati Balaji Temple were controled by Mahants of the Hatiramji Mutt.

In 1933 AD, the Chennai government took over and handed the reins of administration to an autonomous body known as the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam Committee.
Again in 1951, the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam was reconstituted with a board of trustees.

Surendrapuri History

The brain child of a single man, Kunda Satyanarayana, Kaladhamam was established so that "devotees can get a feeling as though they’ve visited all the holy places under one roof."

Satyanarayana got this idea a decade ago and he constructed the centre in the memory of his son Surendra who passed away at a young age.

Satyanarayana disposed all his property and pumped in about Rs 6 crore to complete this project which he entrusted to Chennai based sculptor C.Rajendran , who is the man behind making Khairatabad Ganesha every year. "It was a challenging task for me," he adds.

Whether it's the Vana Vasam of Lord Rama or the Churning of the Ksheera Sagaram (Milky Ocean), the newly opened mythological museum "Kunda Satyanarayana Kala Dhamam" presents Indian mythology to devotees, especially youngsters, in a simplified and attractive manner.

A 60-km drive away from the Hyderabad city, this museum at Surendrapuri near Yadagirigutta has given a great opportunity to the devotees to get acquainted with the fascinating events of the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata and other Puranas.

All the important events are carved out in the form of eye-catching sculptures employing ultra-modern artistic techniques. That's not all, this sprawling 18-acre set up also has famous replicas of all the important temples and gods such as Kaashi Viswanath, Kolkata Kali, Madhura Meenakshi, Tirumala Balaji, Shirdi Saibaba, Palani Kumara Swami and Ayodhya Rama.

The 36-feet high sculptures depicting Lord Krishna, enlightening Arjuna with message of the Bhagavad gita, even as the the armies get ready for war at Kurukshetra, is simply spell binding.

Also worth mentioning are the sculptures of Lord Vishnu along with his weapons and that of Goddess Lakshmi as she saves Gajendra from the clutches of the crocodile. Equally fascinating is the sculpture of Balakrishna who’s shown dancing on the the Snake-King Kaliya.
